Welcome to the Practitioners section. When complete, this section will provide a searchable online resource to complement the published Code of Practice on Litter and Refuse (Scotland) 2006. This section is currently under construction and will be developed over the next few weeks.
The objective of the Code of Practice is to provide practical guidance on the discharge of the duties under
Section 89 of the
The Environmental Protection Act 1990 by establishing reasonable and generally acceptable standards of cleanliness which those under the duty should be capable of meeting.
Part I focuses on service provision under the Act; Part II describes evaluation, awareness raising and enforcement.
